Dockmate is the industry leader in remote docking systems. There are four remotes available; the Dockmate Single, Dockmate Twin, Dockmate Twist and Dockmate Twist-Vector.
Dockmate Twist and Dockmate Twist-Vector are both equipped with a Joystick on the remote which is perfect for intuitive manoeuvring.
The remote offers versatile control of a boats core systems, including Windlass/Anchor Winch, 3-Axis Joystick, Horn, Bow Thruster and Stern Thruster.
It is also possible to adjust the functionality to control systems, such as Hydraulic Bathing Platforms available on many modern designs.
Using the Joystick you can adjust trajectory easily. If you imagine the joystick is your boat; you can move the joystick around 360 degrees and twist the joystick affecting your heading and course.
The joystick engages thruster and throttles in concert to achieve a maneuverability akin to IPS Joysticks on vessels equipped with Outdrives and Shaft propulsion.
Dockmate Twist-Vector is designed specifically for POD systems. Volvo Penta IPS Pod Drive systems that are now prevalent in modern boat designs and a popular option for many new boats. The Twist-Vector enables the same control as the joystick anywhere on board. Often, this can be a suitable alternative to expensive additional joysticks; usually fitted in the cockpit on either the port or starboard side.
